Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Analyst to join our team in Australia's financial markets. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing regulatory strategies and interventions to promote compliance and address market risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies to enhance market integrity and mitigate potential risks.
  • Evaluate the suitability of financial products for public markets, ensuring they comply with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Conduct research on market developments and emerging issues, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions.
  • Draft high-quality reports, submissions, and presentations on regulatory matters, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Analyse data to inform regulatory judgments and monitor sector trends, staying up-to-date with changing market conditions.
  • Coordinate engagement with internal teams and external stakeholders, fostering collaborative relationships to achieve common goals.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, economics, or law, with a strong academic record.
  • Experience as an analyst in a regulatory, corporate, consulting, or academic setting, demonstrating expertise in market analysis and regulation.
  • Familiarity with key legislation, including the Corporations Act and ASIC's Market Integrity Rules, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, concise language.
