Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Project Officer to join our Government Relations and Advocacy team. As a key member of the team, you will support the agency's Commissioners, senior executives, and broader agency in their engagement with government, Parliament, policy departments, and other external stakeholders.

The role involves providing administrative support, undertaking forward planning, tracking and planning key team priorities, communications and engagement activities, workforce capability development, leadership, and events coordination.

  • Administrative Support: Undertake forward planning and support the tracking and planning of key team priorities
  • Communications and Engagement Activity: Work with internal and external stakeholders to prepare for Board and Committee presentations, briefing of senior executives, Commissioners, and government, and assist in the production of speeches, submissions, and other agency publications
  • Workforce Capability Development: Support the growth of our people through process review and development, knowledge management, systems, data, and Commissioner induction
  • Leadership: Supervise and support junior staff in the team, branch, and broader organization
  • Events Coordination: Preparation for key stakeholder meetings or events throughout the year
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will have experience in a relevant field, such as administration, regulation, projects, communications, and engagement. You must also possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and work collaboratively with team members and internal and external stakeholders.
