The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of UK payroll rules and regulations, including income tax, national insurance, and workplace pension rules. You will work closely with our product teams to develop world-class payroll software that meets the evolving needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure Xero's UK Payroll product is compliant with relevant rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with product teams to develop and improve the user experience of our customers.
- Act as the team's subject matter expert on all things payroll.
- Champion payroll compliance with internal stakeholders across the business.
- Guide the team by your in-depth knowledge and expertise.
- A strong understanding of day-to-day payroll operations, procedures, and documents.
- Comprehensive expertise in employment and payroll-related rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication, presentational, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Proven experience personally processing payroll for a UK small business.
- Working knowledge of Real Time Information (RTI), faster payments/BACS, auto-enrolment, Payroll Journals, and other related processes.
