We are seeking an experienced Payroll Compliance Specialist to join our team in Australia or the UK. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of UK payroll rules and regulations, including income tax, national insurance, and workplace pension rules. You will work closely with our product teams to develop world-class payroll software that meets the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Xero's UK Payroll product is compliant with relevant rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with product teams to develop and improve the user experience of our customers.
  • Act as the team's subject matter expert on all things payroll.
  • Champion payroll compliance with internal stakeholders across the business.
  • Guide the team by your in-depth knowledge and expertise.
What You'll Bring:
  • A strong understanding of day-to-day payroll operations, procedures, and documents.
  • Comprehensive expertise in employment and payroll-related rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, presentational, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience personally processing payroll for a UK small business.
  • Working knowledge of Real Time Information (RTI), faster payments/BACS, auto-enrolment, Payroll Journals, and other related processes.
