The role of Technical Advisor involves providing claims staff with guidance, support and coaching in relation to technical and legal aspects of the claims management process within the Workers Compensation context.

This position provides detailed information and advice to the business regarding legislative changes, legal precedents and recommendations for procedural enhancements and updates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice, training and mentoring to staff on legislation and claims management procedures.
  • Advise Consultants, Workers Compensation Claims, to ensure all claims are progressing appropriately towards closure.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with employers and other key stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively build and manage relationships with business partners.
  • A record of success in managing technically complex Workers Compensation claims.
  • Sound, balanced judgement and decision-making.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law or Insurance (desired).
  • Sound knowledge of the Workers Compensation & Injury Management system, procedures and legislation (desired).
