Senior Cloud Service Lead Position

The Opportunity Summary

The Senior Cloud Service Lead is accountable for ensuring the reliability, compliance, and security of server, storage, database, and cloud platform services. This includes collaborating with support teams to manage service lifecycles, ensure access control, and transition new services into production.

The position ensures a highly available and secure cloud and hosting service for the business.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Delivery of operational day-to-day activities for server, storage, cloud platform, and database services to the business.
  2. Maintenance of ITIL compliance for cloud and hosting services, including change approvals, incident management, problem management, and asset management.
  3. Operational governance of managed service providers and vendors.
  4. Development and maintenance of standards and procedures, including security patching, audit, risk actions, and commercial processes.
  5. Participation in disaster recovery and business continuity testing and events.
  6. Management of hardware and software lifecycles to ensure they are at supported levels.
  7. Identification and implementation of service improvement opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in cloud platform technology (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Knowledge of server hardware and operating systems technology (e.g., Cisco UCS, HPE, Microsoft OS, Linux).
  • Familiarity with database technology (e.g., SQL, Oracle).
  • Understanding of backup and storage solutions.
  • Awareness of monitoring technology (e.g., ScienceLogic, Solarwinds).
