About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our high-performing Womenswear department as a Junior Product Manager. As a key member of the buying team, you will be responsible for supporting the Product Manager in all aspects of the buyership, including understanding the brand's target market and assisting with the design and selection of commercial product consistent with seasonal trends and brand direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior managers to build and execute seasonal ranges from the ground up, ensuring alignment with brand direction and customer needs.
  • Manage the garment development process, including selecting fabrics, trims, and colors that meet quality and budget standards.
  • Develop buying plans that engage customers and drive sales growth.
  • Benchmark competitors to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize product ranges.
  • Research trends, product innovation, and competitors to stay ahead of the market.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to deliver value for money and quality products that meet margin targets.
  • Liaise with direct suppliers across multiple countries to ensure smooth production and delivery.
  • Manage the critical path and production plan to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Achieve budgeted sales and margin through continuous review of performance, market opportunities, and product trends.

Requirements

  • Proven buying and product development experience, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing production and the critical path, with a focus on quality and cost control.
  • Experience dealing with direct vendors across multiple geographies, with a strong understanding of cultural and logistical differences.
  • Commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive value for money and quality products.
  • Confident in understanding budgets and margin calculations, with a focus on driving business growth.
  • Adaptable approach with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships, with a focus on building trust and credibility with internal and external partners.
  • Adobe Illustrator proficiency, with a focus on creating high-quality designs and visualizations.
