We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sound and Vibration Expert to join our team in Sydney and grow their career. In this role, you will conduct noise and vibration assessments for various projects across key transport infrastructure, power & renewable energy, buildings, water, and other industries.

  • Working on diverse projects applying technical expertise in acoustic consulting.
  • Conducting noise and vibration impact assessments for projects that include renewables, road, rail, water, environmental & buildings.
  • Noise modelling and data analysis, detailed technical reports and documentation.
  • Designing noise and vibration mitigation treatments.
  • Noise compliance, management plans, and field measurement activities.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, science or similar.
  • 2-5 years relevant post graduate experience in sound and vibration engineering.
  • Experience with noise modelling software (SoundPLAN, CadnaA).
  • Well-developed understanding of relevant standards, guidelines and measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge or an interest in programming (R Studio, MATLAB, Python) and/or data visualisation skills (Power BI, Tableau).
Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice on noise and vibration related matters.
  • Developing and implementing effective solutions to noise and vibration problems.
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure effective project delivery.

  • Delivery of high-quality noise and vibration assessments and reports.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Identification and implementation of opportunities for process improvement.
