Working as a payroll professional in our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team of over 2000 people delivering exceptional aged care services to more than 15,000 older Victorians.
The RoleWe are seeking two full-time payroll officers to join our team on maximum term contracts (1 x 12 months, 1 x 6 months) based in the Support Office in Hawthorn East, with the option to work from home.
- Assist in preparing fortnightly payrolls for multiple sites and locations across Victoria
- Update and maintain payroll records, including processing variations, new starters, leave, timesheets
- Calculate and process termination payments and correction pays
- Reconcile under or over payments, and perform other complex calculations
- Process Centrelink requests, ABS surveys, information requests
- Provide effective liaison with staff and management on payroll-related queries logged in the service desk and process adjustments
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Experience in payroll processing, with a strong understanding of taxation and superannuation legislation
- Confidence using HRIS, electronic timekeeping systems and related databases
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret and apply conditions of employment (Awards, Enterprise Agreements, Contacts of Employment)
- Excellent customer service skills, providing timely actions and responses
