Clinical Specialist in Child and Family Services

This role involves leading health outreach programs across remote Central Australia to improve the wellbeing of children and families.
As a specialist in Child and Family Health, you will provide clinical care, education, and support to children under 5 years and their families. Your work will focus on improving population health through growth assessments, vaccinations, parenting advice, and child health checks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-level clinical guidance and mentoring to Population and Primary Health Care staff.
- Developing and implementing early intervention strategies to address child health and wellbeing needs.
- Collaborating with community stakeholders to deliver culturally appropriate services.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligibility for same.
- Advanced knowledge and skills in Child and Family Health or related field, supported by strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel to remote communities as required.
