About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team at Gamuda Australia Laing O'Rourke Consortium. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for implementing and driving an accountable and positive safety culture on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the project set up, including creating documentation and processes to plan for areas of work.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure proactive engagement and achieve compliance.
  • Prepare presentation and training materials and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide specialist guidance and advocacy for positive work health and safety change to project leaders, site supervisors, and workers.
  • Monitor and provide advice and training for compliance to support the effective implementation of WHS legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Advocate for the facilitation of work health and safety procedures and programs through mentoring and coaching staff.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety.
  • Strong understanding of current health and safety legislation, procedures, processes, and best practices.
  • Well-developed people management skills that encourage staff to perform at optimum levels without compromising on standards.
  • Proven experience working on Tier 1 projects, with TBM tunnelling experience highly advantageous.
