Job Description

The Head of Middle School Wellbeing is a senior leadership role that focuses on leading student wellbeing and the pastoral program.

This position reports to the Deputy Principal Wellbeing and is integral to fostering a safe environment and promoting the College's values.

The successful candidate will be responsible for modelling, inspiring, and supporting staff and students to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student wellbeing and engagement.
  • Lead the application of restorative practices throughout the College.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other stakeholders to support student success.

Requirements

  • A deep understanding of wellbeing practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of appropriate resources for supporting students, parents, and staff.
  • Perseverance, sensitivity, compassion, and patience in challenging situations.
  • Discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
