Sport Community Engagement Manager

The role of the Social & Community Editor – Sport encompasses leading audience engagement across major sport properties.
You will be responsible for monitoring conversations, tracking sentiment, and interacting directly with audiences in a way that's human, authentic and aligned with the brand.
To succeed in this position, you will require strong knowledge across all sports, along with skills to grow loyalty, engagement and community.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and actively participating in audience conversations on social channels.
- Proactively interacting with and responding to fans in a timely manner that reflects the tone of voice and brand values.
- Monitoring breaking sport news, results and trending conversations, and staying across the schedule and on-platform offering.
- Supporting social media broadcast integrations to enhance audience engagement.
- Ensuring social channels remain a safe and inviting space for fans to engage.
- Working with teams to develop FAQs and response scripts when required.
Key requirements include:
- 3-5 years' experience in customer service or community management, ideally in sport or media.
- A football enthusiast with a deep understanding of a range of sports and fan culture.
- Comprehensive knowledge of social platform trends, content formats, audience behaviours and community management approaches.
