Key Duties- Gaining hands-on experience across landmark commercial and civic landscapes throughout Sydney.
- Working for one of Australia’s leading commercial horticulture and landscape maintenance providers.
- Immersed in a fast-paced, skills-focused environment with strong on-the-job learning.
- Assisting in the delivery of high-quality garden and turf maintenance across diverse commercial sites.
- Applying herbicides and pesticides safely and effectively under supervision.
- Learning plant identification, seasonal care routines, and pest/disease recognition.
- Participating in structured TAFE training — combining theory with practical assessments.
- Collaborating with experienced tradespeople and working as part of a dedicated landscape team.
- Progressing toward completion of Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.
- Developing technical skills in planting, pruning, soil improvement, and plant health care.
- Operating basic horticultural machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assisting with the upkeep and minor repairs of irrigation and drainage systems.
- Supporting the installation and maintenance of water features and softscape elements.
- Learning environmentally sustainable practices and principles of land improvement and conservation.
- Genuine interest in getting trade qualified while being paid.
- Interest in pursuing a career in the Landscape/Horticulture Industry.
- Available to work Monday to Friday with 1 day a week at Tafe.
- Training from some of the best in the industry.
- Working on sites that others don't have the opportunity to.
- Getting paid, while having a full-time job and getting trade qualified.
