Job Description:

Teach and mentor students in horticultural trades, providing them with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in this field.

As a casual teacher at TAFE NSW, you will have the opportunity to deliver classes face-to-face and virtually, working with vibrant and energetic educators. You will support apprentices during block courses and facilitate practical learning on campus or offsite.

This role is responsible for imparting your technical skills and industry-standard safety culture to your students, enhancing the student learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must hold a minimum vocational qualification in one or more of the following: Cert III in Horticulture, Cert III Parks and Gardens, or Cert III Landscape Construction.

You must also have a minimum of three years relevant and post-qualification experience in the industry.

Strong computer skills, ideally with SharePoint document libraries and MS Teams, are essential for this role. Your ability to assist with the delivery of course content to students via various training platforms is also crucial.

Your understanding of current and emerging industry skills needs is vital to ensuring the training you deliver aligns with in-demand and priority areas.
