About the Apprenticeship

Embark on a rewarding four-year journey in horticulture with our comprehensive apprenticeship program.

Gaining hands-on experience at esteemed institutions, including private schools and universities, parks, and botanical gardens, you will work alongside skilled professionals to maintain and enhance green spaces while attending regular classroom sessions to develop your theoretical knowledge.

You will receive expert mentorship and practical training, leading to a nationally recognised trade qualification. Upon completion, you will be well-prepared for leadership roles such as Team Leader or Site Manager.

  • Leverage your passion for outdoor spaces by learning from experienced mentors and gaining hands-on experience
  • Develop valuable skills in plant recognition, care, and maintenance, as well as irrigation systems installation and maintenance
  • Gain trade qualifications in horticulture, landscaping, or park management and enjoy ongoing development and opportunities for career advancement after you qualify

Key Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Plant recognition, care, and maintenance
  • Plant nutrition programs
  • Pest and disease management
  • Irrigation systems installation and maintenance
  • Specialist transplanting, pruning, and mowing operations
  • Safety protocols and equipment operation

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you will need:

  • No prior experience required
  • A valid driver's licence (desirable but not essential)
  • A valid Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain)
  • A valid White Card (or be willing to obtain)
