Quality Spiritual Care Leader

We are seeking an experienced Spiritual Care Coordinator who will lead and support the Spiritual Care team to provide quality spiritual care centred on individual resident needs and outcomes.

The successful applicant will ensure that spiritual care recognises and respects resident choices and preferences in the context of holistic care and connections to Community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering innovative approaches to spirituality including activities, church services, devotions, memorial services, rituals and celebrations.
  • Providing spiritual care resources adequate to meet the identified spiritual needs of residents, their families and the team.
  • Ensuring residents are supported to prepare for end of life by reflecting their life, contribution, worth and legacy.
  • Coordinating the delivery of spiritual care support and approaches to people from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Pastoral Care, Chaplaincy or Ministry qualifications.
  • Experience in Pastoral ministry and/or Chaplaincy.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating spiritual care support and approaches to elderly communities.
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal, written and oral with ability to develop rapport quickly with people from diverse backgrounds.
