Job Description

Position Overview

This is a fixed-term, full-time appointment for a period of two years. The position is classified at Level 8/9, with a salary range of $113,063 - $140,000 per annum, plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within the e PPOC (electronic Persistent Pain Outcomes Collaboration) initiative to manage, analyze, and report on a large Australasian chronic pain outcomes dataset.
  • Lead activities of the e PPOC data team, responsible for maintaining and developing the e PPOC dataset and outputs through quality improvement, methodological innovation, and technological change.
  • Collaborate with the Applied Statistics in Health team to drive data-driven decision making and improve services and outcomes for patients.
  • Develop and implement automated workflows to integrate statistical results into other environments.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical quality registries in rehabilitation, pain, and palliative care.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree with a strong mathematical/statistical component, preferably at postgraduate level.
  • Demonstrated experience in data management, project management, and data analysis and modeling with large datasets using SAS and R.
  • Experience with automated workflows and a broad understanding of the Australian and/or New Zealand healthcare system.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
