About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Data Engineer to join our team at NTT DATA. As a key member of our analytics practice, you will be responsible for designing and developing cloud-based data platforms and associated technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Data Platform Development: Design and develop cloud-based data platforms using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL.
  • Data Pipeline Development: Build data pipelines using API ingestion and streaming ingestion methods.
  • DevOps and Infrastructure as Code: Implement DevOps processes, including CI/CD, and infrastructure as code using Azure and AWS Cloud Infrastructure offerings.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and thought leadership as a senior member of the analytics practice in areas such as data access, data processing, data integration, data modeling, database design, and data visualization.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage and collaborate with customers to understand business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead quality assurance activities from design to implementation phase of proposed data solutions.
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers for project/sprint planning by estimating technical tasks and deliverables.
  • Pre-Sales Activities: Engage in pre-sales activities associated with data-related opportunities, including development of targeted demos, pre-sales collateral, and solution positioning documents.
Requirements
  • Expert Level Understanding: Expert level understanding of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, and Azure App Service.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Thorough understanding of Azure and AWS Cloud Infrastructure offerings.
  • Data Modeling: Strong experience in common data warehouse modeling principles, including Kimball and Inmon.
  • Programming Skills: Knowledge of C# and hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting is desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Strong customer engagement skills to understand customer needs for data solutions fully.
