Senior Paralegal Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Senior Paralegal to provide expert legal support across various aspects of the business.

  • Prepare and lodge caveats, manage mortgage and caveat registrations with land registries, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Support collections and workout teams with complex legal queries and AFCA responses.
  • Assist in debt recovery and enforcement processes, including mortgagee repossessions and winding-up applications.
  • Draft high-quality legal correspondence, pleadings, and affidavits that meet the highest standards.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, prepare matter summaries, and present findings to the internal legal team.
  • Liaise with borrowers and legal representatives to ensure seamless communication.
  • Prepare matters for hearing, mediation, and negotiation by gathering evidence and working collaboratively with the team.
  • Manage file systems and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Engage with external law firms as required to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Pursue settlement discussions and alternative dispute resolutions to resolve conflicts effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree is essential.
  • Admission as a solicitor in Australia with a current practicing certificate is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of loan documentation, security arrangements, and enforcement processes is crucial.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills are required.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely is vital.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused mindset with ability to thrive in fast-paced environment is necessary.
