Lead Legal Advisor

The position of Sr. Legal Counsel is a critical role within the organization, requiring a high degree of expertise and strategic thinking.
As a key member of the legal team, you will be responsible for providing counsel to senior management on various legal matters, including funding, financing, commercial, marketing, project development, project construction, and production operations.
Additionally, you will work closely with the General Counsel & Company Secretary to ensure compliance with legal, employee relations, corporate, governance, and statutory matters, including contract negotiations and agreements at the most senior levels in the group.
You will also have the opportunity to manage and mentor members of the legal team, ensuring that they are equipped to handle complex legal matters effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver legal services related to daily operations, conduct or transactions, and managing external providers of legal services
- Act as a trusted advisor, strategist, and sounding board to the organization on legal matters, providing unique perspectives on legal issues such as project finance
- Assist in preparing, negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and settling contracts, agreements, and legal documents, supporting stakeholders throughout the preparation process
- Provide oversight of legal matters, including contract law, relevant legislation, and corporate governance principles, compliance, monitoring, and reporting
- Provide general legal advice to management, including negotiating, reviewing, and drafting agreements between professional advisors, third parties, employees, and others
- Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate contractual agreements and advise management regarding legal risks to support sound decision-making
