UGL Defence has been awarded a long-term contract to manage defence fuel assets, operations and maintenance. We are seeking skilled E&I Technicians to join our Operations & Maintenance team in an exciting opportunity to support national security requirements.

This is a unique chance to work with a Tier 1 services provider on a long-term operations and maintenance contract within the defence sector. You will be part of a core crew of experienced technicians, working closely with an established team.

The Role

You will report to a Maintenance Supervisor and be based at RAAF Albatross, supporting surrounding locations in the Shoalhaven region. Occasional regional travel may be required. Your duties will include:

  • Performing scheduled maintenance and servicing of fuel installation assets and equipment
  • Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel-related assets and equipment
  • Project work as required on fuel installations and related assets and equipment
  • Supporting subcontracted work packages as needed
  • Supporting various sites in the Shoalhaven region, with occasional travel to other sites throughout NSW

Maintenance trades (Electrical) rates include: Level 1 - $44.28 plus super, plus tool allowance ($35.27 weekly) & licence allowance ($48.79 weekly). Level 2 - $47.76 plus super, plus tool allowance ($35.27 weekly) & licence allowance ($48.79 weekly). Level 3 (Dual trade) - $51.26 plus super, plus tool allowance ($35.27 weekly) & licence allowance ($48.79 weekly).

Requirements

We are looking for strong team players who are self-starters and dedicated employees. The successful applicants should have:

  • Cert IV Instrumentation and A-grade electrical licence with relevant post-trade experience
  • Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas
  • Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) training required
  • Confined space and working at heights tickets highly regarded
  • Safety is paramount in everything you do
  • Current Defence Security Clearance or ability to obtain it
