Role Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and skilled nurse to provide holistic nursing support to individuals in our withdrawal unit. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.


About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting clinical observations, providing low-medical support, and developing health-related withdrawal treatment plans in collaboration with participants and the broader team.

You will work collaboratively with General Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners to provide medical support and oversight to our service.

This role requires the ability to work a rotating roster of morning, evening, and night shifts, including weekends and weekdays, as well as being on call when scheduled.

The successful candidate will possess a Degree or equivalent in Nursing and a current Div 1 certificate, with practical experience in the AOD sector and demonstrated skills in triage, medical assessment, decision making, and providing appropriate nursing interventions during crisis.

They will also have demonstrated competence in infection control procedures and competent computer skills to use Microsoft office programs such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Sharepoint, as well as being able to learn and use TSA's documentation software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting clinical observations and assessments using relevant tools
  • Providing low-medical support, including medication administration and basic wound care
  • Developing health-related withdrawal treatment plans in collaboration with participants and the broader team
  • Providing trauma-informed, person-centered care to participants with histories of complex trauma and co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions
  • Working collaboratively with General Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners to provide medical support and oversight
