Job Overview

The Biomedical and Electronics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the performance, upkeep, and repair of biomedical and electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of biomedical technologists by delegating tasks and providing ongoing training on new technologies and best practices.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of biomedical equipment to minimize downtime and support hospital operations.
  • Ensure all equipment meets regulatory standards and safety guidelines, conducting inspections, maintaining documentation, and supporting audits and compliance checks.
  • Work with clinicians and healthcare professionals to ensure equipment meets clinical needs and advise on the procurement of new technologies.
  • Manage spare parts inventory within budget, ensuring availability of necessary items without overstocking, and recommend cost-effective repair methods.
Requirements
  • Australian driver's license, Electrical Safety Testing certification, Diploma/Trade qualification in Electronics, and management experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, electronics, IT systems, asset management, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook; strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Skilled in asset management systems, equipment maintenance, and resolving technical issues in healthcare settings.
  • Proven leadership, team motivation, performance reviews, and resource management to maintain safety and quality.
