Public Relations and Communications Expert

This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact in a fast-paced team that shapes the future of our next generation. As a Public Relations and Communications Advisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of public relations and communication advice, strategy, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a communications strategy that enhances our national brand reputation across various audiences and channels.
  • Deliver timely and proactive strategic advice to senior leaders and build an integral partnership to advise on communication matters.
  • Identify and optimise opportunities to protect and enhance our reputation.
  • Ensure quality of all public relations and communication materials.
  • Oversee and form part of the crisis management plan, and deliver effective crisis communication when required.
  • Plan and build reactive organisations internal and external communication that aligns to strategic goals and deliverables with the communication calendar and periodic events.

About You:

  • Some of the required skills and experiences include 3+ years' experience in a PR and communications role ideally within a large-scale organisation, excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills for internal and external audiences, including outstanding copywriting, proofreading, and ability to provide direction on design and production.

  • 3+ years' experience in a PR and communications role ideally within a large-scale organisation.

  • Proven record in developing and delivering integrated communications programs across internal and external audiences.
  • Experience in managing complex issues and crises.
  • Strong interpersonal leadership skills and project management.
  • Commitment to continual improvement of outcomes through ongoing evaluation and innovation.
  • Experience or ability to quickly embrace various communications platforms and technologies, including internal and external channels.
  • A team player with a strong desire to learn and grow and become part of a results-oriented team.
