Job Description

As a seasoned transport leader, you'll be responsible for overseeing national transport operations, driving strategic and operational outcomes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow a profitable part of the business while introducing efficiencies and continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership Role: Manage a dedicated national transport team, fostering a cohesive, customer-centric environment.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities to grow profitability, efficiency, and service quality across transport operations.
  • Operational Management: Oversee fleet utilisation, maintenance scheduling, compliance management, and daily route planning to deliver optimal service to customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications

You are a motivated, proactive, and solution-focused leader with a natural curiosity that drives continuous improvement. Your experience empowers you to lead confidently and manage effectively.

  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience managing transport or logistics teams, including drivers and vehicles.
  • Experience in the transport, logistics, or equipment rental industries will be highly regarded, although a truck licence is not required.
  • A strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR, and associated transport compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
