The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer - Electrical to join our team in Melbourne, VIC.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of asset integrity processes and systems, ensuring the safe and optimized operation of our plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure maintenance and reliability activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
  2. Provide technical support to develop and introduce ongoing reliability improvements and fit-for-purpose asset integrity strategies.
  3. Regularly assess the health and condition of critical assets by analyzing data from various monitoring systems.
  4. Conduct failure mode analysis to understand how assets might fail and what the consequences could be.
  5. Investigate equipment failures using RCA techniques like the 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  6. Monitor asset conditions and performance through various technologies and sensors.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with advanced expertise and experience in asset reliability, preferably in the heavy industry or process equipment sector.

Key qualifications include:

  • Preferred tertiary qualifications in Engineering - Electrical Engineering.
  • Industry-related work experience preferably in waste management, resource recovery, or manufacturing industry.
  • A Chartered Engineer with IE Australia (or eligible for chartered status).
  • Ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply applicable engineering techniques and procedures in conjunction with relevant Australian Standards.
