We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of the Building Services team, you will play a leading role in delivering exceptional building services to our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and inspections for building permit applications and associated Certificate of Final Inspections and Occupancy Permits.
  • Coordinate and engage with customers through our Better Approvals Merri-bek program.
  • Oversight complex report and consent applications.
  • Drive the advancement of contemporary building approvals systems, procedures, and policy.
Requirements:
  • Registration in Victoria as a Building Surveyor Unlimited (BS-U).
  • Excellent understanding of the Building Act and Regulations, Building Code of Australia Volumes 1 and 2, referenced standards, and current building practices.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service and the ability to diplomatically handle customer complaints.
  • Highly developed leadership skills to motivate, develop, and manage staffing issues in a team leadership role.
