Residential Construction Estimator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates and proposals for residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive cost plans for client proposals, analyzing project drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Collect and assess data on materials, labour, and subcontractor pricing, monitoring cost variations during construction.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to obtain and validate pricing information, assess risks, and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Review project budgets, compare with actual expenditures, and recommend adjustments to maintain cost control.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proven experience as an Estimator within the residential construction industry.
  • Qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Prior hands-on experience as a Construction Estimator in the Australian building sector, with a sound understanding of local codes and standards.
