Gold Mining Expertise:

This role involves leveraging advanced engineering knowledge to oversee the extraction of gold from underground operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive production plans, ensuring alignment with operational objectives.
  • Supervise the stope design process and drill and blast planning to optimize recovery and minimize dilution.
  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of mined plan versus actual performance, identifying areas for improvement, including end-of-month reconciliation.
  • Mentor, coach, and provide feedback to the Mine Planning team, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A motivated and safety-conscious individual with tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related field.
  • Completed supervisory or management training.
  • Hold a First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency.
  • Possess substantial underground engineering experience, preferably in gold mining, covering all production phases.
  • Have exposure to both contractor and owner miner environments.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and specialized mining software such as Deswik, Deswik Scheduler, and Ventsim.
