We're seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our Processing Maintenance team at St Ives gold mine. This role will drive asset reliability and performance improvements across our processing operations, ensuring safe, sustainable, and cost-effective production. The role is offered on a roster and FIFO/residential options as described below.

Responsibilities
  • Champion safety and environmental standards, ensuring full compliance with OHS&E systems.
  • Lead reliability improvement initiatives through data analysis, root cause investigations, and strategic planning.
  • Develop and optimise preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Oversee equipment condition monitoring and asset integrity programs, including Registered and Rotable Plant.
  • Provide engineering input into capital projects, ensuring reliability and maintainability are embedded in design.
  • Drive cost control through strategic maintenance planning and defect elimination.
  • Foster collaboration across departments and contractors, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Manage the site's Continuous Improvement (CI) and Change Management (MoC) programs.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering (or related discipline) is essential.
  • Proven experience in reliability engineering within mineral processing or heavy industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in conditioning monitor techniques, reliability tools and software (e.g. SAP, AMT, PRONTO, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commitment to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.
About Gold Fields / Benefits
  • Permanent position with a reputable gold producer operating multiple long-life mining projects.
  • Competitive Base Salary and Site Allowance: site employees receive an additional 6% Site Allowance.
  • Private Health Insurance Allowance: up to $6,000 per annum.
  • Quarterly Bonus Scheme: up to 10% of base salary if site targets are met.
  • Generous Leave Entitlements: Up to 5 weeks annual leave per annum.
  • Inclusive Paid Parental Leave: 18 weeks for Primary Carer and 6 weeks for Secondary Carer.
  • Long Service Leave: Eligible pro rata after 5 years of continuous service.
  • Generous Employee Referral Program: $10,000 for successfully referring a candidate who completes 6 months in a permanent role.

Roster details: 2 x 4 days on, 3 days off, 8 days, 6 days off; FIFO from Perth; or 4 days on, 3 days off, 5 days off, 2 days off residential to Kalgoorlie / Kambalda region.
