Job Opportunity:

This is an exciting chance to become part of a skilled and respected engineering team in Australia.

As a maritime structural engineer, you will be involved with the design and planning activities for large-scale maritime facilities across various industries such as defence, local government, state government, ports, and sustainability (hydrogen terminals).

Working on diverse projects will allow you to quickly develop your skills and gain valuable experience. You will receive support from other disciplines across KBR and its partners.

The role involves applying your existing knowledge to deliver services from concept designs through to construction phase support. There will also be opportunities to enhance your leadership and business development skills by assisting with project management and proposal tasks.

  • Experience in structural design, including reinforced concrete and steel
  • Interest or experience in designing, evaluating, and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures
  • Capability and experience in using structural analysis software (SPACE GASS, Strand 7, IDEAStatica)
  • Interest or experience working with local governments, port clients, and/or the Defence sector
  • Willingness to learn maritime analysis software (OPTIMOOR)
  • Familiarity with Australian structural design codes and guidelines
  • Working towards Chartered Professional Engineer credentials
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance
