Maintenance Supervisor - Job Description

The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our field maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a visible leader, pro-actively maintaining high expectations towards site safety standards.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders within the mining and maintenance teams to provide the best outcome for the operation.
  • Provide leadership to your team, setting clear expectations, upholding accountabilities, reviewing performance, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts and equipment for repairs.
  • Identify and implement continual improvement strategies in safety and technical matters.
Requirements:
  • ">
  • Mechanical or Electrical trade certificate and/or tertiary mechanical/electrical engineering qualification.
  • Previous HME maintenance supervisory experience within an open cut mining environment.
  • Heavy plant maintenance experience: Draglines, Excavators, and Drills.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining related legislation.
  • Ability to make data driven risk-based decisions.
  • Strong frontline leadership skills with effective written and verbal communication.
