Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Rotating Plant Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical and rotating plant elements of a landmark project, ensuring technical excellence throughout the delivery process.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rotating equipment expertise, with experience in designing, commissioning, or maintaining rotating plant (generators, turbines, motors, compressors, synchronous condensers). They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with contractors, OEMs, consultants, and senior internal stakeholders.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in technically complex environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and collaborating closely with other stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering – Mechanical preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in engineering roles within energy, utilities, or heavy industry
  • Direct experience in designing, commissioning, or maintaining rotating plant (generators, turbines, motors, compressors, synchronous condensers)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage confidently with contractors, OEMs, consultants, and senior internal stakeholders
  • Resilient and adaptable mindset, combined with a safety-first approach
