We are looking for an experienced Leading Hand Plant Mechanic to join our Plant Workshop based in Mt Thorley on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead an experienced and dedicated team in repairing and maintaining a modern fleet of equipment.

What the Role Entails

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of a wide variety of work both in shop and field on multiple sites throughout the Hunter Valley.

Your key responsibilities will be :

  • Liaising with Original Equipment Manufacturers
  • Leading the work group to achieve deadlines
  • Identify Continual Improvement opportunities
  • Prompt response to Machine downtime events
  • Complete repairs within budget and time constraints

What you will need for this role

To be considered for this role you will :

  • Be a Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic with extensive Construction Equipment experience
  • Have demonstrated leadership experience
  • Have the ability to effectively communicate
  • Have a high awareness of safety and demonstrated experience working within a safety-focused environment
  • Have the ability to be hands-on as required
