Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Performance Specialist to drive sustainability and environmental initiatives across our construction operations.

  • The key responsibilities of this role include:
  1. Developing and managing comprehensive sustainability strategies, action plans, policies, and training programs.
  2. Providing expert advice on Environmental Social Governance (ESG) and environmental regulatory compliance to ensure alignment with national objectives.
  3. Leading the collection, analysis, and reporting of sustainability data for strategic decision-making and external reporting purposes.
  4. Monitoring and reporting on key environmental performance metrics to manage project risk and support continuous improvement towards sustainability goals.
  5. Building and maintaining relationships with relevant industry bodies, associations, and stakeholders.
  6. Integrating environmental considerations into design, procurement, and project management processes.
  7. Collaborating with external sustainability consultants and experts to enhance knowledge and capabilities.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Science, Sustainability, or related field.
  • Proven experience in environmental and sustainability roles within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of principles and applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental statutes and legislation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to develop and implement initiatives aligned with organizational direction and values.
  • Capacity to travel interstate as required.
