Family Safety Specialist

As a Child Protection Caseworker, you will be responsible for assessing and responding to reports of child harm or neglect. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop appropriate safety plans to protect children from harm.
- Manage complex cases, including those involving high-risk clients and their families.
- Prepare and present court documents and provide expert testimony in court proceedings.
- Engage in collaborative problem-solving and contribute to individual and group supervision sessions.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, or Welfare (or equivalent).
- A valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to drive.
- A working with children clearance number (or willingness to obtain one).
- Completed student placement or related work experience.
