
Family Safety Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our team in Western NSW.
This role presents an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families, working collaboratively with a dedicated team to ensure their safety and well-being.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to reports of safety concerns surrounding children or young people who may have been harmed.
- You will work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people, as well as collaborate with other agencies and engage in complex problem solving.
- Developing safety plans and completing risk assessments will be key responsibilities, along with managing cases and situations, including working with high needs and high-risk clients and their families.
- Participating in individual and group supervision, as well as being involved in court processes, including preparing court documents and attending court, are also essential aspects of this role.
This position requires confidence, curiosity, and resilience, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships.
Applicants must have completed or be in their final semester of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science and Welfare, along with practical experience. Other related degrees are also considered if you can demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families.
