Job Description:
Azure Cloud Solutions Architect (Information & Communication Technology)
We are seeking an experienced Platform Solution Architect to join our Canberra team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the IT industry environment and business needs, as well as a strong understanding of multi-technology infrastructure design coupled with strategic thinking ability.

About the Role:
This is a permanent, full-time role requiring Australian Citizenship and a minimum of NV1 Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) clearance due to the nature of our client.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and collaborating on services and technologies, including Microsoft Azure, Java applications running in a Linux environment, and cloud native tools.
They will also lead and coordinate cloud development activities between stakeholders and technical resources, periodically collaborate to develop and implement operational improvements, and leverage experience with cloud native tools to review metrics and monitor the health/utilisation of agency's cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:
* Designing and collaborating on services and technologies, including but not limited to Microsoft Azure* Supporting the design of Java applications running in a Linux environment* Leading and coordinating cloud development activities between relevant stakeholders and technical resources – both internal and external* Periodically collaborating to develop and implement operational improvements* Leveraging experience with cloud native tools to review metrics and monitor the health/utilisation of agency's cloud services* Maintaining skills and contemporary practice in the applicable technology stack* Conducting regular technology related reviews* Proactively supporting the development of new strategies and solutions* Supporting the pre-sales process* Selling solutions and services as identified* Fostering good relationships with clients, vendors and partners* Maintaining, improving and sharing knowledge related to the information technology industry* May be required to coach and train Associate and Senior Associate Consultants* Reviewing and evaluating client requirements in order to advise on the design, deployment and operation of infrastructures* Supporting the development strategies and solutions that define meta-architectural designs for complexity solutions that will address issues such as styles, concepts, mechanisms and principles that combine to formulate the architectural vision for a specific environment* Supporting research and investigation of emerging infrastructure technologies and the best practices associated with them* Continuously supporting the improvement of internal effectiveness by contributing to the improvement of current methodologies, processes and tools
