Reconciliation Analyst Role


About the Role

The Reconciliation Analyst is a detail-oriented professional responsible for managing garnishments, handling uncashed payroll checks, and performing monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Garnishment Processing: Manage court-ordered wage garnishments; ensure accurate, timely deductions and remittance to agencies.
  • Uncashed Payroll Checks Management: Track and reconcile uncashed checks; ensure escheatment compliance; communicate with employees to resolve unclaimed payroll funds.
  • Monthly Payroll Tax Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll tax accounts monthly for accurate reporting; resolve discrepancies between payroll records and tax filings.
  • Process Improvement & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all payroll tax and garnishment laws; maintain records and support audits.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Not less than 4 years of work experience in multi-state payroll and tax compliance.
  • Experience with ADP Smart Compliance is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading a team.
