Nurse Unit Manager Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a care team within a specific unit, ensuring high-quality and person-centered care to residents.

  • Provide leadership and oversight of the care team, ensuring high-quality and person-centered care to residents.
  • Manage and lead a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Resident Care: Ensure the delivery of compassionate and competent care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs.
  2. Staff Supervision: Manage and lead a team of healthcare professionals, promoting a supportive and positive work environment.
  3. Care Planning: Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans, incorporating resident's preferences and needs.
  4. Medication Management: Ensure proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
  5. Family Communication: Communicate effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.

Requirements:

  • A current AHPRA Registration.
  • An ICL Qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.
  • Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
