Your primary responsibility will be to deliver case management, advocacy, and support services that foster client capacity towards independence and enable them to reconnect with their community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide case management services that focus on client needs and promote client capacity towards independence.
  • Deliver advocacy services on behalf of clients, ensuring confidentiality and upholding their rights.
  • Support clients in accessing information and referral services within the context of approved case management plans.
  • Operate within the program Service Agreement, adhering to relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Perform shift work, including afternoon, night, and weekend work, as required by the program.
Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate III in Community Services or related field or Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD).
  • Knowledge of and ability to work within relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker or equivalent within the program area of operation.
  • Personal aptitude for working within set guidelines and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication, and organisation skills.
  • Ability to exercise judgement and contribute to a team environment.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland.
