At Optus, we're revolutionizing the way we approach infrastructure deployment. As a Senior Technical Specialist I&C Stds, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our technical standards for build and install practices.

The role is pivotal in setting the technical standards for the deployment group, ensuring seamless integration and quality across all aspects of site quality, build, and installation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining detailed quality, installation, and commissioning standards for site quality, build, and installation subject matters.
  • Providing technical support and direction to colleagues, suppliers, and partners.
  • Driving innovation in new installation practices, products, systems, and databases that support Optus Mobile Deployment Programs.
  • Leading trials of new products or build innovations within the Optus Network.

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical or communications engineering or significant industry experience.
  • Extensive industry experience working on major mobile network deployment projects with a focus on installation standards and quality.
  • Thorough understanding of 3G/4G/5G technologies, microwave & fibre transmission equipment, and supporting products used in mobile site deployment.
  • Understanding of AC and DC power principles and design for mobile site infrastructure deployment and upgrades.
  • A thorough understanding of mobile site configurations and antenna systems used in deployment and upgrading of Mobile Sites.

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated around $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
