Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Standards Australia. This is a six-month secondment opportunity that will involve designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure solutions.

About the Role

  • Design and engineer cloud infrastructure solutions for various project and operational needs
  • Install and configure new and existing systems to support technology projects
  • Configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
  • Maintain the security and integrity of servers, end-user computers, and the network so that security policies are applied, and recommendations are made
  • Maintain computer operating systems to remain current
  • Maintain patching of operating systems and applications
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards & documentation
  • Escalate tickets from the Service Desk
  • Implement and Maintain Azure single sign-on for Enterprise Apps
  • Decommission old servers and Infrastructure to shut down data centers
  • Monitor systems and alerts and investigate problems; administer software and SaaS platforms, and maintain software and software licenses
  • Support team Projects including ISO remediation and ISO work

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a systems administrator in a client or server environment, including deployment automation tools
  • Certifications on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, including Solutions Architect, Developer, or Google Cloud
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Technical knowledge of infrastructure components such as Network, Storage, Linux/Windows
  • Experience with configuring software-defined networking and security configurations, including security groups and ACLs
  • Knowledge with System and Network monitoring systems
  • Scripting and automation skills desirable
  • Good technical documentation skills
  • Attention to detail, documentation, and accurate record-keeping skills
  • Aptitude for understanding business objectives and processes and translating them into business and functional design specifications that can be delivered by IT

Estimated Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on experience
