We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for events, functions, weddings, and corporate gatherings on Hamilton Island.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing menus that exceed the expectations of our guests, while achieving operational and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the culinary team in creating and executing menus for events, functions, weddings, and corporate gatherings.
- Collaborate with event planners and clients to design customized menus that meet their preferences and dietary requirements.
- Manage kitchen operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and budgeting.
- Understand various components of the profit and loss report and suggest insights into the financial health of the business.
About You
We are looking for a true culinary professional with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. You will have a strong track record of leading a team and managing kitchen operations in a high-volume venue.
You will be a visionary leader with a flair for crafting unforgettable menus and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
- Leadership skills – Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing a large team.
- Culinary experience – Demonstrated experience in a large volume venue with a variety of cuisines.
- Adaptability – The ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Communication skills – Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both with the team and guests.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- Current valid Driver's Licence.
- Restricted Driver's Authority or ability to obtain.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Head Chef position.
