We are seeking a Policy and Project Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and managing policy projects, collaborating across the justice sector to deliver shared outcomes.

About the Opportunity

The role involves applying analytical skills in undertaking and delivering program and policy projects, preparing briefs with key recommendations, and drafting other correspondence as required.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to identify and develop solutions to complex problems, and will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the justice sector.

About the Business Unit

Our business unit provides policy advice and analytical insights to the Attorney-General, the department and the justice sector. We lead and engage with justice reform projects, and have lead responsibility for the National Access to Justice Partnership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage policy projects identified by the Attorney-General, Chief Executive, other executives, or the Manager Justice Strategy and Funding.
  • Collaborate across the justice sector to deliver shared outcomes.
  • Apply analytical skills in undertaking and delivering program and policy projects.
  • Prepare briefs with key recommendations and draft other correspondence as required.
