Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Services Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, managing operational tasks and fire prevention activities across Victoria's state forests, national parks, and protected public land.

This role involves coordinating and managing works programs, including planned burning, unsealed road management, and other operational forest management activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading teams, ensuring the effective delivery of operational tasks, and implementing fire prevention activities and emergency response operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading staff and ensuring the effective delivery of operational tasks;
  • Coordinating and implementing fire prevention activities and emergency response operations;
  • Working closely with district teams to ensure ongoing effectiveness and output;

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants should have:

  • Experience in managing works programs in one or more of the following: planned burning, unsealed road management, or other operational forest management activities, including experience in management of staff;
  • Experience and understanding of forest firefighting techniques, the Australian Interagency Incident Management System, and other emergency response activities;
