About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Cocoon SDA Care. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex care needs to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with complex care needs, including those with challenging behaviours.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Support individuals to develop and maintain their independence, including assisting with household chores and managing finances.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Individual Support Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent.
  • First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration training or willingness to obtain.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening check.
  • Working with Children Check.
