The Role

As a dedicated procurement professional, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of goods and services to our organisation.

The Graduate Procurement Officer is responsible for planning, developing, sourcing, and managing procurement arrangements that align with organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market research and participate in negotiations to establish effective commercial agreements.
  • Identify business needs, compile and source market information, assess market risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate these.
  • Oversee tender processes and collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate supplier performance.
  • Develop and implement category management plans, identify areas for improvement, resolve issues, monitor supplier performance, and negotiate contract variations to enhance business value.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and generate reports on procurement and contract activity to ensure compliance with organisational requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of procurement practices, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
