
Strategic Procurement Professional

The Procurement Manager is a critical role within the organization, responsible for managing the on-boarding of suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Not-to-Exceed (NTE) and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) pricing for procurement needs.
- Monitoring market trends, technological developments, and general business trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Investigating potential suppliers for direct parts and repair services, identifying and addressing shortfalls in the supplier base to support commodity requirements.
- Administering all supplier export and import requirements, including customs clearance, to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Expediting quotes and orders from suppliers to ensure delivery, quality, and corporate KPIs are achieved.
- Evaluating technical drawings to determine suitable suppliers and initiating generation of supplier RFQ's in ERP systems.
- Evaluating repair quotes and teardown reports to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Evaluating/awarding quotations received from suppliers to ensure Corporate requirements are satisfied.
- Managing supplier performance and driving resolution where required.
- Investigating and ensuring prompt processing of supplier issues.
- Ensuring all Trade Compliance requirements are considered and addressed in a timely manner.
- Receipt and processing of procurement requests via Oracle or Indirect Requisition systems.
- Converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders to facilitate smooth procurement processes.
- Monitoring procurement email inbox and distributing correspondence accordingly to procurement team members.
- Generating weekly and monthly procurement reports and providing to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Receipt and processing of all procurement correspondence.
- Preparing import and export permits to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assisting with the preparation of procurement monthly reviews and weekly KPI report.
- Providing administrative support for online travel booking systems.
- Complying with all organizational Policies and Procedures, Processes and Work Instructions.
- Performing other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Procurement experience with strong negotiation, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- High Level Degree, preferably in Business or Supply Chain Management. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Ability to read or learn technical drawings.
- Experience using Oracle or other ERP database, preferred.
- Experience within the procurement or manufacturing industry, preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong and accurate verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take lead and drive discussions and problem resolution.
- Cost analysis of proposals, proposal fact-finding, proposal negotiations, including cost, terms and conditions (T&Cs), and scopes of work (SOWs).
- Expediting and shortage management.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated experience dealing with export/import and trade compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated use of initiative.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with an ability to think outside of square.
- Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to gain and maintain a security clearance.
