Business Services Accountant Specialist

A leading advisory firm, renowned for delivering exceptional services to clients across Australia, is seeking a Senior Business Services Accountant to join their Sydney-based team. This role presents a unique opportunity to develop a comprehensive blend of taxation, management accounting, and professional services expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT, or payroll tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Expert utilization of various accounting software, including Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
  • Providing tax planning and business advisory services to clients, involving the analysis of financial and non-financial information to enhance client performance monitoring.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and promoting quality product delivery to further these relationships.
  • Identifying potential additional work opportunities among current clients and actively promoting the firm's services to both clients and associates.
  • Contributing to team training and mentoring, with responsibilities to help grow the team's knowledge and contribute to the business as a whole.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Business Services, with strong technical skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar, with working towards or completed CA/CPA qualifications.
  • A solid understanding of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software, including APS, MYOB, and cloud-based tools, such as Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Valid work rights, Australian citizenship, or permanent residency status in Australia.
